Ethan Meers is a Principal of Kinship Capital and is responsible for building and managing Kinship’s long-duration multifaceted real estate portfolio. His responsibilities include managing commercial real estate investments, structuring partnerships and capital structures, and formulating Kinship’s real estate strategies. Additionally, Mr. Meers manages a variety of compliance and asset management activities for the group.
Before joining Kinship, Mr. Meers was with the Related Companies, a highly diversified real estate industry leader with expertise in virtually every aspect of development, acquisitions, management, finance, and sales. Mr. Meers began his career with Telesis Corporation, a Washington DC based firm that plans, finances, and builds affordable urban communities.
Mr. Meers holds a B.A. in history and American Studies from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he also collaborates and mentors as a returning alumni in the classroom. Mr. Meers serves on the Board of Trustees and as an Executive Committee member for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), is Vice Chair of the Board of the Nature Conservancy in Illinois, is a member of the Executive Committee of The Chicago Community Trust, and is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute.
