In 2012 Kinship partnered with Harvest Properties and J. Volckmann & Associates to purchase an industrial and office property in the North I-680 corridor industrial market of the San Francisco Bay Area at an attractive cost. The building was originally built for Siemens who had recently vacated. Prior to closing, the partnership had obtained a new long term lease with a large credit-rated tenant. The partnership renovated the property to prepare for the new tenant's occupancy, including a new roof, HVAC, electrical and water distribution, updated office space and a remodeled cafeteria. A new 45,000 square foot warehouse with loading docks and improved vehicular circulation was built.
